We offer commercial loans up to $250,000 to new or existing businesses in South Leeds when financing from more traditional sources is unavailable or insufficient
1000 Islands CDC administers a local investment fund to help finance new or existing small business in South Leeds for start-up, expansion or stabilization plans that help maintain or create jobs.
Repayable financing of up to $250,000 on commercial loans or equity investments, is available when financing from other sources is insufficient or unavailable. All financing decisions are made at the community level by our local Board of Directors. Contact us to learn more about applying for Financing and the required forms to start the process.
Like any application for a business loan, a certain amount of detail will be necessary both on the application and through supporting documents. In order for an application to be considered, it must be completed fully, signed and accompanied by the following:
Online Application for Financing
- Personal Financial Statement (pdf)
- Business Plan (pdf)
- Cash Flow Projection
- Financial Statements
- Copy of Business Registration
- Copy of Partnership Agreement (if applicable)
- Articles of Incorporation (if applicable)
The business applying for financing must also meet the following criteria:
- The business must be inside our service area
- Financing should be used for the ultimate purpose of job creation or maintenance
- Businesses will have exhausted all other avenues of financing

The Leeds and Grenville Small Business Enterprise Centre is co-located with the 1000 Islands CDC and can assist businesses with the development of Business Plans and Marketing plans.
