Gord Brown Memorial Rink

Announced at 1000 Islands CDC Annual General Meeting

Gord Brown was the beloved Member of Parliament for the riding of Leeds & Grenville – 1000 Islands – Rideau Lakes from 2004 to 2018. His untimely and tragic passing on May 2, 2018 has left the entire community with a profound and deep sadness. MP Brown was a loyal friend to the 1000 Islands CDC and we were very proud to honour his tremendous service by coordinating the successful initiative to bring the Canada 150 Outdoor Rink from Parliament Hill to his hometown of Gananoque. This was a dream of Gord’s and we are extremely privileged to assist in efforts to make the Gord Brown Memorial Canada 150 Outdoor Rink a reality by the end of 2019. Our contribution of $100,000 is being matched by the Thousand Islands Accommodation Partners.
