Brockville Railway Tunnel Restoration

Announced at 1000 Islands CDC Annual General Meeting

Restoration of the historic Brockville Railway Tunnel was a project many years in the making. We were pleased to assist the effort with $275,000 worth of federal government funding support. The finished project was unveiled in 2017 to rave reviews and tens of thousands of visitors have since been awed by the beauty of this historic landmark. It has immediately become a central attraction for local tourism strategies and is fully expected to help Brockville and the 1000 Islands continue to build on an impressive tourist asset base which now includes such world-class attractions as the Aquatarium, Skywood, Thousand Islands Playhouse and Thousand Islands Boat Museum.
